I will not be able to make it to class today but I did do the work. ....... Good Writing” Good Writing? What makes Good Writing? Is Good Writing done only by William Shakespeare, R.L. Stine, Stephan King, or Dr. Seuss? Why would Good Writing be called “Good Writing”? Is Good Writing made on the first paper? I believe “Good Writing” is more than just writing your paper without any grammatical or punctuation errors. It’s more complicated than what people think. Good writing is putting your ideas, answers, points, and evidence into the paper clearly. Good Writing needs to have a good structure. In order to write good there is a process that need the paper needs to go through. Brain storming is one strategy to use to when wanting to have a paper be called “Good Writing”. My Vision of “Good Writing” is brain storming, well structured, to the point, well explained, vocabulary, detailed, and developed. The first stage of writing a “Good Writing” paper is declaring a main idea then brain storming on the main idea. The second stage is the rough draft. The rough draft will have grammar and punctuation errors, everything might not make sense, sometimes it will have no structure, but that is what the rough draft is for. Then comes the peer review stage or self-critique stage, this stage consists of having others or yourself reviewing your paper. You or your peers look for not only grammatical and punctuation errors but also look for ways to improve your paper by adding and deleting in order to make the paper be more clear and intelligent. The next stage is the revised stage, this stage is where you apply all the improvements and adjustments in order for your paper to be considered a “Good Writing” paper. “Good Writing” is not hard if you have the time to do all the stages or steps for your paper to be called “Good Writing”. I believe with my experience with writing, I have the capability to make a “Good Writing” paper every time I write a paper. This essay is based on my experiences with writing. “Good Writing” is complicated but not impossible, it is developed over time.
